MY NEW CRIB!

Yes, if you have been following my blog you might have read that I had put in an offer on a house. Everything went successful. I didn't blog about the process in fear of jinxing it. But I'm happy to say that I collected the keys today and while I will be sleeping on the couch tonight, its all good because tomorrow I'm getting my bed and the rest of my furniture I purchase delivered. You know those commertials you see on TV, where these people happy they just bought their own house?? I always figured they were just putting on the smile for the cameras but the enthusiasm from the commertial actually rubbed off on me!!! :D

END OF SEMESTER!

End of the semester is edging closer day by day and I'm excited as hell for it. Days of just lazing around, playing games, eating, going to clubs and bars! I can't wait. And what makes this even better is the fact that my brother and my cousin is coming up to visit. We had a reputation for being the crazy three back home. And we just going to continue that when they come up. We got the whole of Florida to explore and wreck havoc when we start to party!

I finally made an offer!

So I am so excited! I finally made an offer and found a house that actually felt like home! After weeks and months of looking and searching an going back home without a smile, I fianlly did today!
Its a beautiful flat house. I tend to dislike two story houses as I prefer things simple and well laid out. My realtor is one happy woman after all the work I made her do and the countless hours I spent with this woman looking at properties. I am truely happy and I'm just waiting on a response from the owners if they will accept my generous offer or not.

CAR AUDIO!!!

I finally got my amps from Trinidad and I'm so excited. I love my car audio and was ranked top 15 in the world for the categories I entered. Some say impressive, I call it hard work. Anyway I got DLS amps which I had special ordered and imported from Sweden to go along with my rare digital sound processor that has 165 bands of equalisation! Most people would call this overkill and overdoing it but I'm an audiophile (not a pedophile for you nasty people lol). I just love my car audio and I require high standards and simply high quality. While the next system I build will be my best, I highly doubt I'll ever compete again

SAVE THE PUPPIES!

In some areas of the world dogs are used as a source of food to provide meat for its people. Video evidence has shown that the manner in which these animals are treated and evetually killed are extremely cruel. Some people also believe that cultures that eat dogs eat a certain type of dog. Research has found this to be untrue. These people eat the same dogs that many of up love and keep as pets and have made a part of our families. This has upset many individuals who are now taking actions to save these animals against these cruel acts.

Working on the BImmer

So, I've been hearing a few noises in my car. Either I never noticed them or they wasn't there before. Unfortunately with me being houseless I usually have to drive an hour or so into West Palm Beach so I can get work done on my car. My buddy has a garage and lets me use his tools. Turned out a bad bushing and the work required was a pain in the neck. While changing the bushing was a pain I can deffinitely say it didn't hurt me as much as when I had to swipe my credit card to pay for the parts and tools!

HOUSE HUNTING

Ok so before I mentioned that I was getting an apartment and I signed my lease. Unfortunately there was an error in the system and it turned out they didn't have the apartment. I was pissed but I said to myself, "Hey, everything happens for a reason right?" and I simply left it as that. So I just met with my realtor again for the umpteenth time and once again I walked away disappointed and not being able to find a place I feel comfortable enough to call home. :(

PUPPY!

I really miss my dog Pablo. I really hated that I had to leave him behind when I had to make my big move. My brother told me he got really sad and became extremely stubborn and only biting people(not serious bites)! I blame myself for that lol, allowing a pitbull to chew on your hands and fingers but he seems so happy when I let him! I can't wait to go back Trinidad to hug up that big horse lol.

day at the track

So, today I heard there was an open track session so me being all into cars I decided to go. I was glad I did. I finally got a chance to run my car and see its top speed! While I usually don't drive very fast it was just calling to me. My BMW was just teasing me looking so aggressive begging to be taken out so I did. I ran an topped out at a fairly impressive 150mph. Personally I think it could've done more but damn American market cars have limiters! Reason I said it was impressive as I am bone stock and naturally aspirated!

unemployment assumption

So i got a macro econ class and I decided to blog about my research on unemployment!
Yet, in spite of all those generous assumptions, no double dip recession, no second recession, high rates of job growth and falling participation rates all the way through 2020, and unemployment peaking at 11.6% not 13%, the best I can do is suggest the unemployment rate will be over 10% all the way through 2015 and never dip below 8% all the way out through the end of 2020.

Yes! I know to some, you know who you are won't understand this but its pure econ baby!

REL class

This introduction to religion class has to be the most boring class I've ever taken. Worse yet I have failed to grasp any concept that the teacher teaches! I'm not sure if its just me or I just have this extremely gigantic mental block to this subject. I would be reading and within less than a minute I lose interest and wants to fall as sleep. I hope I don't fail this class as I have never failed a class before. But oh well only time will tell.

Soca 360

So last night I went to one of the so called, "best Caribbean" parties and man was I disappointed!
The reggae room played no reggae! I went with high hopes of hearing Caribbean music but these hopes came crashing when I heard Lil Wayne through the DJ's Speakers. The drinks was expensive and the atmostphere was alright. But hey on the bright side, I didn't pay to go in and I passed another Saturday night.

Sick again!

Well, I'm sick again today! I thought my sore throat would've cleared up but it didn't. I was afraid this would happen and I would get the cold. Getting a sore throat is like a warning sign for me, even if its mild case, I always end up in bed and no amount of orange juice helps when i detect a sore throat. So I'm just here drinking an extremely tall glass of orange juice and relaxing on the couch! Hope i get better soon as I have to get back to class!

the dreaded 9/11

I remembered that morning oh too well. It was beautiful without a cloud in the sky. I had was in my 3rd class which was literature sitting down not paying attention to the evil literature teacher lol. I remembered she got a call on her phone an stepped outside an started crying. To me i started to think wow this woman could cry?? Then when she returned to class she told us the tragic news that the towers were hit. I sat there in disbelief that such an event happened. I don't think I'll ever forget that morning when I heard the news because my cousin just returned to New York and that worried the hell out of me!

where am i going to live???

So, for the past month I've been looking for a place to live. I thought moving to Florida would've been much easier, the transition was easy but finding a place to live have been by far the most challenging so far. I thought looking and finding my car would've been the worst and my word it really was a nightmare. I've seen so many places but non of the town houses or condos the realtors have shown me felt like home. :( ..On the bright side I signed my contract for my apartment this week so I just bought myself more time to get the best deal possible as buying is a permanent commitment and I really want to get it right, like I did my car

my first week

My first week of school in since i left high school has had its ups and downs, though I'm trying to remian upbeat despite the set backs I've encountered in the past couple days. I've begun a new chapter in my life and I intend to make the best of this new opportunities I will presented with and new life I will have for the next few years of my BIG move to Florida. I got my car this week so that was deffinitely one of the ups of my week :D .
